We have purchased this refrigerator in 2001. The fridge started giving problems after 4 years. Last we got one thing repaired and this time it gave problem with heating element.
The engineer visited us and replaced the part. The new part gave problem within 20 days of the repair. The engineer who visited again told us that the part put was defective hence he would replace it. The engineer did not return for the next 2 months. We kept on calling up their office and we kept on getting assurance that someone would come tomorrow and do the needful. After following up with their office every day with at least 3-4 calls for one entire week, they managed to send one engineer from the other part of the city.
The engineer did not charge us for the part but definitely charged us for the visit. Why the customer should be penalized for the faulty part provided by the company? Why the call was not attended for 2 months? The company claims the part was not available in the stock. The heating element is not some specialized component of spaceship which would not be easily available. If the company is not keeping stock of the spares then who is supposed to keep them.
I would advice everyone to think twice before buying any model from this company as the service levels and policy are not very customer friendly.
