This is my first review in Mouthshut. I bought my Matiz 2001, Cherry Red colour model around an year ago. This is my second car; bought this for my wife. So far I have run this car around 5000 kms. I am just wondering why Daewoo has closed its operations. This is such a wonderful car at this segment. I am trying to put down the pros and cons of this car.
Pros:
Very good interior space.
Driver seat boot space is quite good (I am 6.2 feet tall but feeling very comfortable).
Very smooth at 5th gear.
Power steering is very smooth and easy to handle when compared to Hyundai.
Excellent fuel consumption (in city bumper-to-bumper traffic it gives around 15-16 without ac and on highways it gives around 21kmpl).
Cons:
Gear shifting from 1 to 2 is horrible.
Pick up is very poor when AC is on.
Overall pulling capacity is low when AC is on.
Apart from these I dont see any major issues with the car. I guess service is not a big deal if we get a good mechanic in your city.
