Daffodil is a very small chinese joint at Powai. One cant sit inside as its too small and you feel suffocated. Go for the not-so-clean tables on the roadside. One can be with the nature as well as the junta and whizzing vehicles on the roads. Its a very informal joint catering to home delivery also. Their speciality is chinese but serve punjabi also. Their noodles and other chinese items are quite good and tasty as the use of oil is less. They dont have too many fancy tongue-twisting chinese names on their menu card but cater to the regular junta and students. Fresh fish, prawns are used in the sea-food section making you want more. Indian breads, kebabs etc are made in a hugh tandoor outside where you can see and order. Indian food at this place is okay. Service is polite and needs to be improved. Cutlery needs to be changed as their forks cant up any noodle. Yet, I visit this joint as I quite enjoy their chinese food. Portion wise, they give sufficient amount in one plate which can cater to two people.
Daffodils is not too expensive but not cheap either. I frequent this place and treat my guests here only because of the decent quality food they serve.
Mood for everyday chinese and not the authentic kind, then daffodils is a good joint.
