I purchased Daikin Split AC 1.5 ton model FTEL50NRV16 on 10th March 2014. After about a month we started using it and found a few days later that outdoor unit suddenly trips at random and does not restart for about 30 to 45 mins. on first complaint the service personnel said the unit is OK. tripping is due to motor heating up due to voltage fluctuations. After repeated complaints they checked again and said PCB is faulty and changed it but problem continues even today. Now they say that there is built in safety switch in the motor to protect it from overheating due to voltage fluctuations and the unit will not start till it cools down. I have installed it in my drawing room and now whosoever sees its malfunctioning will never buy or recommend it to anyone. I have 2 other LG ACs in the same home and there is no problem with them for last 3 yrs. I was carried away by dealers words that Daikin is best these days and am now feeling miserable. Any way to get over this problem?
