I bought my Daikin FTF35TVR16 on Snapdeal, it was delivered on 24th April and is yet to b installed because Daikin says they will not honor the 1 yr warranty on the machine& the 5 yr warranty on the compressor if bought online.
Please cross check with the company helpline and the e-commerce helpline before buying electronics online. Snapdeal has taken a complaint and its still in process.
An Update: I’ve been informed that the dealer who sent the product will be considered the seller and not Snapdeal, and the Daikin rep confirmed this! So all is well for now.a performance update is pending and will be posted asap.
*Update II: This AC was fitted by the company since it was sold via a authorized seller on Snapdeal, (when talking to Daikin about installation, dont mention that your bought it on line, use the name of the seller on the Invoice provided by Snapdeal), additional costs include the water condensation drain and copper piping connecting the outside unit to the inside one, and any civil work necessary to put these pipes through walls. An excellent AC, quiet and cools the room quickly, very happy with it.*
