We purchased a 1 ton split AC 5 star of Daikin make from Vijay Sales in November 2015. No temperature indicator on unit but display on remote which is difficult to read at night.
We used it for only few days as winter set in. But we didn’t find cooling enough. But electricity bill came high.
Then from April 2016, we used for 2 months. That time we noticed that AC wasn’t cooling to set temperature even after 4 hours of running. The temperature was always reaching 2 degrees above set temperature. Checked with another thermometer too. also soon after AC being off, room becomes hot. The compressor wasn’t getting shut off and so electricity bills were high.
The Daikin authorities initially said it is problem of our flat. On demand of explanation, they finally agreed to refund the amount which we got few days ago.
Never buy Daikin products.
