Good Change

For years together after being being very faithful to the Times of India I finally yeilded to temptation. The campaing to launch DNA was too good to resist from subscribing. Initially though I felt that this would be just an experimental exercise and then back to TOI. Now after almost 2 months of reading I can state the newspaper is really good. Very organised in the presentation of news. Each category of news is put in seperate set of paper. The entire family can read the paper simultaneously without really pulling the paper. The article and news are very clear, focussed and to the point without exaggeration. The editorial board desevers a pat on the back. The best part is that there not much ads unlike the Times of India which is 65% advertising and a little bit of news squeezed in between. Right now it is a great bargain as the cost of the newspaperis just Rs.2/-( half the cost of TOI). I really would not mind if they increase it to Rs.3/-. The Sunday edition is just fabulous. The ’ME’ magazine is very good and suprisingly the price of the news- paper is still Rs.2/-. Not much to suggest in the improvement department. Reduce on the coverage of crcket. Give us a periodically the latest rankings of Cricket and tennis(with a stressed Indian point of view). Finally keep up the good work. DNA is a welcome change especially with the monotonous and ad grabing attitude of TOI. Nothing much can be said about the other newspapers(save Mid-Day). So happy reading to all DNA readers and the others time for a change, switch to DNA>
