Please STAY AWAY FROM DAKSHIN HONDA, HOSUR ROAD

Well. I wrote too many good things about Honda Jazz in my post "Purely My Thoughts." Hold on. I still say the same things for the car. Unfortunately, this time around, I would not say the same thing for Honda and its petty Honda dealers. with specific reference to Dakshin Honda, Hosur Road, Bangalore.


I gave my car for servicing on completion of 1 year(22000 Km). It was Id day(September 10, 2010) and half the people were not in the showroom(including Ms. Radha, Manager CRM). My bad luck that I decided to give my dear car for servicing on this day when no one was in mood to work.


The service guy, Mr. Sathish, noted down the dents and scratches on the car(which were far too less in number because of my cautious driving) and took down the other details. I handed over my car and came back home. Around 5:30, I went back to the showroom to collect the car.


To my surprise, the interiors(specifically the door fabrics) were not cleaned. Leave aside cleaned. no one even bothered to touch them. I pointed that out to Sathish and then two people were deputed to clean the door trims.


Here comes the surprise. While they were cleaning, I started to inspect my car and noticed that someone has put a dent at the bottom left panel of the car and then conveniently done a touch up job.


This really made me furious. After a year of patient and cautious driving I could not tolerate the dent on my car. and that too done by some reckless junkie. Though it wasnt too big but then to me a dent is a dent. I started blasting those people in the service center. Best thing is there was no one to listen to. Those people, especially Mr. Chandrashekar, conveniently said that the dent was already there when I gave the car for servicing and that the service engineer missed noting it down in the job card.


I was furious. and I still am. I logded several complaints with Honda 1-2-1. Nothing happened. They called back with their typical calls that they are looking into the matter. NOthing happened. The lady in Dakhin Honda, Ms. Radha, called me and was quite rude in her tone while telling me that none of their people have done the damage. The dent was already there. She said that she is still willing to fix the problem at no cost as a goodwill gesture. I blasted her again and told her not to call me up again until she accepts that it was done by their people and apologize for effectively telling me that I was lying.


Well. my expectations are too high for this world. She never called back. Calls from Honda 1-2-1 also dried up. Be it Honda or any other company, once they sell something, a customer means nothing to them.


I thought of going in and putting up a complaint in Consumer Forum but was not able to do so until now. I am keeping a bit busy in other things and I am not getting time to write down a detailed case(sequentially).


Nonetheless, I would request people in Bangalore to be very cautious of Dakshin Honda, Hosur road. If possible take as many pictures of your car before you are giving the car for service. Make sure the snaps have date and time of when the picture was taken. Because if they damage your car. they are not going to accept it however much you fume or shout or call up Honda 1-2-1.


For me, I am planning to lodge a complaint soon enough. If it was not for the Jazz(just the car Jazz without Honda logo), I would probably be thinking of selling the car and going for another car.
