Hi everyone! Today I share with another tourist destination in West Bengal. The place is surrounded by plenty of temples. The main temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is also an architectural treasure. A large courtyard surrounding the temple, twelve Shiva temples, one temple of Radhakrishna, a bathing ghat on the Hooghly river is in the temple compound. Ramakrishna Paramhansa was also associated with this temple.
Dakhineswar temple is situated on the bank of the Hooghly river near Kolkata. The temple is one of the most widely visited religious sites in West Bengal.
You can also visit here from Belur Math. Belur Math is the nearest place from where you can visit here easily. From Belur Math bus terminus you can visit here by 30 minutes. Feri service is also available here from Belur Math. Dakhineswar railway station is the nearest railway station on the Sealdah-Dunkuni sector. It is around 14 km from Sealdah railway station, Kolkata.
