Fort is at the edge of the Diu city after crossing market, jetty and police station. You have to cross long passage to enter the main fort area. Before the main gate of fort there is open area on the left side of passage’s end and view is beautiful from there.
After entering the main gate of fort, on your right side is "Diu Jail". It is functional jail and visitors are not allowed

After few meters walk, enter the main fort area on left. Fort is surrounded by sea from 3 sides. Inside the fort, there are few steep rampant(No stairs) and the view from each point is nice. There is one church in middle of the fort but when I visited, it was close. Last point in the fort is light house after climbing quite high rampant. There are few canons also on display inside the fort.
There is no entry fee.
