Heres a review on Dana Choga at Sector 14, which I visited recently
Summary:
Thoroughly disappointing.
Ambience - Okay
Cleanliness - The place was literally stinking
Food Taste - I think I get better than this at "Om Sweets"
Food Quantity - We had to order 4 curries for two of us
Customer service - Took literally 40 minutes to get the food even though the restaurant was quite empty
Detailed review:
I had heard a lot about Dana Choga from my collegues so me and my roommate went to check out the place.
Ambience & Cleanliness
The top area was filled so we had to go to the basement. The moment you enter the basement area, the place actually stinks. You dont even feel like sitting there. But it was raining outside so we preferred to stay. Ambience was okay.
Customer Service
We were quite hungry so we didnt go for the starters and ordered the food directly. Even after repeated requests, it took more than 40 minutes to get the food on our table. The drinks(lassi / cold drink) which I believe are supposed to be served with the food were served after the second serving of Rotis. Even though we had already ordered the rotis as 2+2+2, we had to remind the waiter each time we needed another serving of roti. And it took very long for each thing to be served. I hate it when I have to wait 5 minutes (literally) for a roti in middle of a meal. And thats not all. It took them about 15 minutes to send the bill after the dinner was over.
FOOD - Taste: I dont mean to pour my frustration but I really dont know how do they call their food North Indian cause what I tasted here was something entirely different. I have actually had better food at Om Sweets.
FOOD - Quantity: Normally me and my room mate are done with a single curry at any North Indian restaurant. But the quantity here was so less that we actually had to order 4 curries in order to fill our stomachs.
FOOD - Pricing: I never mind paying for something if its worth it. Considering the taste as well as quantity of food here, I believe it is way too expensive than what it should be.
As a final note, me and my housemate decided never to visit this place again
