India...Keep Dancing !!!

Dance India Dance is the first Dance show on Indian Television, which is going through its 3rd season. And as the name suggests it is totally based on Dance. It is telecasted on Zee TV every Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 pm. It is a very popular dance show among the viewers. There was a time when Boogie Woogie was the only dance show, which was very popular on National TV and now DID come as a hit. Right now season 3 is going on and it is doing very well in comparison of 1st and 2nd season.

It’s a very entertaining and good show to watch. You can enjoy every style of dance in this show like – Salsa, Classical, Semi-Classical, Jazz, B boying, Hip Hop, Bollywood, Contemporary, Folk Dance….huff !!! And a lot of other dance styles which I can’t tell you because I don’t know much about it…:D

Judges:

Almost like every talent hunt there are also three judges in this show. And three of them are very nice in nature and hardworking in their work. Judges have their team of favorite contestants and they teach them dance & prepare them for the competition.

Geeta Kapoor is a very famous and well-known choreographer in film industry. She also has been an assistant of Farah Khan for many years. Every contestant calls her as Geeta Maan. She has her team named Geeta ki Gang. She is always nice and soft spoken with every contestant. She is very loving and cute. She always encourages every contestant with her nice comments. And her dialogue Stupendous Fantastically fantastic creates magic in the show.

Terence Lewis is also a famous choreographer and quite strict in his work but he is a softhearted person no doubt. He knows about dance very technically and he also trained his contestants with his style. He always takes care of little little things in dance and we can see his dedication towards dance in his comments. He has his team named Terence ki Toli. His Chummeshwari adds charm on the contestant’s faces.

Remo D’Souza again a very famed choreographer and he is also known as a great fan of Michael Jackson as he has a tattoo of Michael Jackson on his arm and he always wears a bracelet of MJ in his honor. He has his team named Remo k Rangeelay. Mainly he is expert in b boying, Hip Hop and Bollywood dance style etc. He is very good as a master in this show and as a judge. And his pet dialogue to encourage the contestants is Now that’s what I call a performance.

Mithun Da is grand master of this show. Everybody knows him obviously. He has been a Disco Dancer of his time. He is always very nice to every contestant and motivates every one with his experiences of life and with his talk. And the enthusiasm he creates in the contestants with his Grand salute is just mind-blowing. He also has a pet dialogue to encourage the contestants and that is Kya Baat.. Kya Baat.. Kya Baat.. !!!

Host:

Jai and Soumya are very nice as a host. They both looks cute together and always entertain to all the judges, contestants and viewers. Especially Jai is always naughty on the stage at times and when Mithun Da pulls his leg by saying him as My Hero every one laugh so loud. His naughty tasks & chitchat with judges on the show make this show more enjoyable and delightful.

Contestant:

Contestants are the most important part of any talent hunt because if contestants are good then only we like to spare some time on any show. And every contestant of this show is just incredible. Everybody is a like a master in his/her own style. Some times they just do dance so incredibly that they will leave you spellbound. All the contestants are from the different corners of India and one is from Malaysia also and all of them are just wonderful. Now you can imagine the magic of this show.

My Verdict:

DID is no doubt a great show which helps to encourage the talent of dance not only in contestants but also in everybody who love to dance. Me too love this show and I hope that you will also love it.

Take Care,
