She’s been part of the biggest hit of 2016 but her sudden apology has left many wondering. Dangal actor Zaira Wasim, who played the young Geeta Phogat, has confused many people with her apology in a Facebook post, now deleted.
"This is an open confession/apology. I know that many people have been offended and displeased by my recent actions or by the people I have recently met, " Zaira wrote in a long post.
The 16-year-old actress met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday. The Chief Minister praised Zaira for her performance in the film as young Geeta during their meet. Though the meeting was cordial, it got Zaira a lot of unexpected attention, with many taking to social media to criticise her for meeting the CM. The actor, who is from Kashmir, was trolled and hounded on twitter after which she seems to have put out the’apology’.
