We all friends with family decided to enjoy our holidays in Dapoli this time. We all 32 nos. went to Dapoli in Volvo bus. We enquired about the route and were told that the road via Bhor is better than any other. We started at 6.00 am and reached at Warandha ghat at 9.10 Hrs where we had our break. The small hut type hotels are there who speciallised for Batata wada & Bhajiyas are.
All of us were enough hungry so we had a heavy breakfast. We had a break at that place for 40 minutes and taken lot of photographs of the scenic beauty of the valley, Ghats and the absolutely green nature. Later we went down the Ghats and reached the Mumbai Goa Highway. From this we went to Dapoli via Poladpur, Khed. The road is very good and you really get mad seeing the beautiful thick greenery and hills all around. You should visit there at the end of the monsoons and you see no other color but green. The entire stretch along the road to Harnai leaving Pune is picturesque and a sight to treasure especially the villages beyond Mahad, you must take the photos as many as you can.
We reached the Sea Princess resort at 1.30 pm. We were thrilled to see the resort as it is located just in front of the beach and there is nothing between the resort and the sea except beach. We had never seen such fantastic location in this Konkan belt. We had ordered the lunch on phone while travelling only so we didn’t west any time and had our lunch which was very delicious and testy especially the fish choice. After having the afternoon nap we enjoyed the beach and the sea water for 3 hours till 7.00 pm. We found that the beach was very safe and even small kids were enjoying it.
The Sea princes resort, we found absolutely spotless clean, very cooperative staff, mouthwatering food totally a fantastic experience of A/C rooms with all amenities at the nominal cost of only Rs.1700/- per day only.
Next day morning we had a Dolphin boat ride. The boat comes just in front of the hotel. It is a small boat in which max. 10-12 people can be accommodated and the most appreciable thing is that every person is provided with the life jacket. We enjoyed the dolphin ride and saw them from the dist. Of 10-15 meters. We could see them in large group and even we were very lucky to see a couple doing summersault also. All this was at unbelievable price of Rs.100/- per head.
In the afternoon and in the evening also we enjoyed on the beach only. This trip of two days we felt that was very short but as the work was very important we left Dapoli, but next time we shall stay there at least for 4-5 days to enjoy, preferably in the month of Dec.
