In December 14th I had visited Darjeeling for second time with My family and friends.
It Takes arround 3-4hrs to reach Darjeeling from Siliguri. The nearest Airport to darjeeling is Bagdogra Airport approx 90kms. From siliguri you can hire taxi or some other public sawari to reach there.
The views while travelling from roadside are awsome , greenries and chillied breeze are all around the surrounding kept you and make you crazy about your trip. The peoples are very friendly over there. When you reach darjeeling, from there you can hire tourist taxi for different sightseens and tourist designations.
The Major and some of the most visited places are : - Batasia Loop, The Zoological Park, The tiger hill, Happy valley, Tenzing norgay rock climbing institute etc. Darjeeling is a very beautiful city as a holiday destination.
The most prefered food is Momos and thukpa noodals its so yummy.
Best time to visit darjeeling is november because that time you will not gonna find any clouds in the sky so the views are superior and you can enjoy the beauty of tiger hill sunrise point.
You can also enjoy the small trip of toytrain from darjeeling station to ghoom for a fresh start.
