The grand dame of Darjeeling started out as a humble boarding house for English bachelors. Around World war two it was converted into a hotel with comfortable spacious rooms, and fireplaces in every room. You can watch the scenery of Kanchenjunga from bathroom of Windamere Hotel. Must try Tea of this Hotel, you will like it for surely.
Than after relaxing, I went to Glenary’s bakery shop, it is very famous here for it’s coffee, tea and pastries. Famous so may be you will find crowd whole day. If you want to eat Tibetan food, than go to place name Kunga. Famous for momos.
Now it’s time to explore the nature, so must ride on a Toy Train. Built in 19th century, from this you will explore Himalayan beauty, now it is a world Heritage Site.
Must visit Japanese Temple also known as peace pagoda, has a 20 ft high Golden Statue of Lord Buddha at entrance. A village Tinchuley is also must visited place. You can see snow covered peaks from this village. Must see Sun rise from here.
Next day I went for shopping, and bought Darjeeling Tea from Nathmulls, it is best place to buy pure tea.
