It was mid night. Darkness clouded my room with thick layers. I was sleeping, but I remember each moment of my meeting with the Bhoot clearly. I was transported to a dark place where hills are made of darkness and water too. I was little afraid, but the prospect of something unusual rejuvenated me.
Suddenly there is light everywhere. A neatly arranged room with white furniture, wall, interior decoration and moreover…there is a fountain which circulate white flames of fire across the 4 sides of the room.
I could not see any door to the room, but suddenly the Ghost arrived. The Ghost looked exactly like Esha Deol of Ram Gopal Varma’s Darling. She was wearing a long white shirt.
I gave a brief smile where she is with her intruding eyes directly carried from the film.
"So, what you have to ask?" Her thick voice after a moment alerted me.
"Geeta Menon…let me…."
"Quick…I have no time or patience…"
"Tell me, why are you wearing only this white shirt in most part of the movie..I mean Darling? Don’t you have anything else to change?’
"Gwah…"she sneered like in the film "Don’t you know when I was killed I only had this dress and there is no dress making factory in heaven or hell whatever?"
"Why you have been killed?’
"Gharrrrr….Gjkkllllll…..’She screamed. After a little outburst she continued. "I was a girl who wanted to live happily with my family. Didn’t you hear the ring tone I had in my mobile which that rascal Aditya..yes..yes…played by Fardeen Khan thrown to the sea after he killed me"
"But how come you meet Aditya?"
"He was my boss. In fact I fall madly in love with him. I think it is the Pepi effect of sex. Dil Maange More."
"Even after you know that he has a beautiful wife Aswini and a child too?"
"Love has no eyes or brain. And that thunda paani was not ready for hands to legs experiments of Aditya. The first 15 minutes of the movie gave a sex education…don’t you see? He made me believe that he will convince his wife to go for a divorce and marry me."
’What went wrong then?"
"Wrong? Everything went right till I get pregnant…"
"Oh!!! Then?"
"I told Aditya about that and he was shocked…"
"But why? Didn’t he was ready to marry you?"
"Gahrrrrr….Gahrrrrrr….only then the scoundrel told me that he has no intention to marry me because he loves his wife very much and the child…"
"So what you do?"
"We had a huge fight and at the end…."She started crying. It is the first time I was meeting a bhoot in person, so it was first time that I saw a bhoot crying.
"So you are killed by accident."
"Yes….and he buried me in the courtyard."
"But you managed to use the spirit to enter his house and office place to stay with him for revenge…right?"
"Right…Right…Right…Garrr…"
"Tell me, what you were doing in the bedroom of Aditya and Ashwini?"
"I wanted to make his life miserable. I will not allow him to enjoy a life which refused to me. Didn’t you saw what I did to him, with the new secretary?"
"The scene where you were sitting down the table, as shown in the promos?"
"Exactly. I was making Aditya’s life miserable…you know…there are many ways to make a men’s life miserable."
"But tell me why you killed Aditya’s friend?"
"Who? The one who speak in slow motion and act like a drug addict?"
"Is he playing a drug addict in the movie? In fact I was quite irritated with that so called comedy character"
"Still you want to know why I killed him?"
"Then why you didn’t killed the lady inspector called Malti who didn’t opened her mouth at least once?’
"Hai, there is a difference. The lady’s look was so different and I was under the impression that she is going to trap Aditya where the funny Inspector were really getting him on hold."
"yes, I like the inspector’s role played by Upendra Limaye. What is your reason to harm Aditya’s family?"
"Hmmmm….didn’t you saw my father pleading and crying for me with Aditya and that rascal telling all excuses? He should also feel the heat and pain."
"That is correct. Now, how come I saw you wearing a Rudraksha mala and holy shawl in a scene? I thought normally Bhoots are very afraid of these things."
"Who told? We bhoots can do whatever the directors ask us to do. RGV don’t know that we will only have long life if such believes are circulated. RGV thinks out of box, period."
"In some scenes your sound can be heard by others and your touch reach to people directly where most of the scenes it will not? Any explanation for that?"
"Ask RGV."
"But I liked the way he executed the scenes where you are watching each moment of the proceedings. And, believe me you acted very well."
"Thank you." I thought she forgot for a moment that she is a Ghost.
"Now tell me - normally we saw Ghosts in darkness. How come you come in day light in bright white?"
"You fool…it is the negative of the film. Somebody misplaced it. By the way, if it is all black how you could see us? Don’t ask such stupid questions. But I wonder why the cameraman placed his camera from ground to top? Is he in search of something?"
"No idea Geeta….I think the director is experimenting with camera angles."
"I am little angry to him for not making the movie with little more care. Why he wanted to add the stupid friend in the beginning? He should avoid mockery of serious characters. But I am happy for the suspense he kept in the movie. I liked the end very much. However, it got a hangover of other Darna movies of RGV."
"So, what you have to say to the readers?"
"A film Watchable for the suspense which holds. But you tell me about me and my Darling Aditya."
"Oh! I liked you in the movie with Fardeen. Both of you given good performance. Isha Koppikar played the housewife very nicely. It is a different subject, but not so new for RGV fans. I like the music & BMG."
"Now tell me, how many stars you will give to the movie?"
"3 stars."
"I will kill you if you do that. You should give 5 star to the movie." I agreed in haste.
She offered a bottle of blood which I refused and she was little unhappy about that. Finally when we parted, she looks like an angel, not a Ghost…but a dangerous angel who wants more! Slowly I fall into darkness of sleep.
