A KAMAL HASAN show all the way.. I know its a lil late to write abt the movie but better late than never..
Kamal is up with an interesting concept on paper but somehow doesnt quite get it right.. he seems to be confused..
Plot - chaos theory.. everythin in this world happens for a reason known only to a supreme power(GOD?) .. the film asks us to believe in the power..
It starts with the 12th century with a lil incident..and then quickly shifts gears to 2004 just before 26th december (Tsunami strike).. Govind (kamal) , scientist from america is out to save the world from a bioweapon with the help of Aandal(Asin) .. chasin him are chris fletcher(kamal), balram naidu(kamal), a japanese(kamal again..) and others..will he save india from the threat posed by the weapon..? the questions answered with a tsunami in the climax..
Technically - this is where one wuld like to say - oh what a waste... seriously, the film is technically bad.. graphics tacky.. inconsistent camera work.. poor editing.
you would expect the SFX to blow ur mind away but they just manage to make u ask " whats happening?".. not convincin ..
actin.. kamals good as govind, the old lady, chris fletcher, george bush(!), khalifullah.. but the real scene stealer is kamal as balram naidu(RAW officer)..Asin is good as aandal and reminds me of a girl from my college...
music - barrin the track kallai mattum nothin worth rememberin.. background scores ok (devi sri prasad)
script - long at times draggin.. just bearable..
you would nothin but the best when u enter the hall with names like kamal hasan, asin, ks ravi kumar and himesh reshammiya.. but the film falls short of expectations..
VERDICT - GOOD but NOT GREAT ..
