This is is my first review in Mouthshut though I have been reading here for long time. So, please forgive me if I am not an expert in writing.
Now, there is only one thing that compelled me to create an id and write review.. and that is Dasavatharam.. wow! what an attempt.
My review is late and so most of the story aspects, positives and negatives are already discussed by others. I will keep mine short.
Good points are
Kamal times 10 is the USP of this film.. it is a made for Kamal movie.. no doubts about that. Infact, there can be 1 movie per avatar.
Though some of the grand scenes are not really spectacular, this is a technically superb movie the way in which so many Kamals come and go in many scenes and we dont spot the difference... they all seem like different people
Very simple story to tell a new concept. I admit knew nothing about all this chaos and butterfly effect but seeing it in the movie was spectacular. Screenplay to accomodate 10 roles and all these theories is very difficult but achieved well.
Very good time pass entertainer that has something for all kind of audience. You got Mallika for Glamour for some sections of audience, Good dialogues and layers of story for those who want more than entertainment, and a simple story with lot of comedy and thrills for the common man.
Negatives are
Maybe some people will feel it is overdose of Kamal. Performance wise, those who come expecting serious Kamal movies like Anbe Sivam or Guna will be let down.
Graphics on the big scenes are not that good.. obviously more money and time is needed to achieve hollywood level perfection.
All in all it is a 3 hour time pass thrill ride with doses of good comedy for a average movie goer like me. By now the movie has been declared a superhit.. so with that credentials open your mind and enjoy the movie without asking too many questions :-)
