I’m a guardian of my own sister who is studying in dav school adambakkam, chennai. This review is especially for the parents who want their child to study in dav school, adambakkam. I write this with fully inflamed now. My sister is studying in twelfth standard and most of the time, she is always in the school. Ofcourse i do agree that twelfth standard is the critical part of life. Then why the hell does this school make a plan for a one-day outing. To the height of worse they say that this outing is mandatory and that all the guys and gals should come. Children were forced to go for the outing starting at 4.30 in the early morning. And the stipulated time to return to school was supposed to be at night 10.30 pm. Above all, children are not allowed to bring their mobile phones to the outing. When i call the teacher at 11.15 pm, she yells at me as if they have no problem in their side. When i ask them if can’t they manage their time properly, she says that the parents should understand their problem.
And above all, the teacher says to me; " it is not the duty of the teacher’s as a whole". What the heck do they think of the parents and their children. I ask her if it is not the duty of the teacher to manage the time, why the hell did they went with them and why the hell did they plan for this?
For your information, my sister was pulled out of the school one day when she went fifteen minutes late and standing with the hope that they would allow her inside for about one hour. Now where did the punctuality went when it comes to their side??? The day when all the schools in chennai were declared to be a govt. Holiday, the teachers called the parents of the students who havent come to school, saying that day an important practical exam will be conducted. When my sister went with full of shock, it is just such a damn fake information given by the teachers to all the students. Do i call this a torture or a part of education??? Is this what the students has to be teached??? I very much worried of the parents of the girl children in the school.
Just a message to all the teachers and students of dav, adambakkam: though education is important in life, but a student who is good in academics with a bad character/attitude is just the worst of all.
Message to all the parents: think twice before you admit your child to dav school, adambakkam.
