David Copperfield is a novel by Charles Dickens. Written in a narrative style, it has David Copperfield as the protagonist. The entire story is the journey of his life-from early childhood to his married life-trying to cope up with the emotional highs and lows. This novel has all the elements, be it crime, trust, love, treachery or struggle. Unlike other novels, this novel is short one and wont take much of ones time.Though regarded as one of best novels, the story is somewhat predictable-miserable childhood with an oppressive stepfather and helpless mother, a distraught teenage, and then progression towards a balanced life. Its only in the second half of the novel that the plot seems to lighten up. Overall, this novel is a good one with a comprehensible use of vocabulary and a happy ending.Copperfields childhood would expose to the darker phase of life while his adult life would bring up a life of contentment.
