This is my first review, so please all be kind. I received a Cool Water gift set as a Christmas present from my husband. The gift set included cologne and scented lotion. I too was enticed by the sleek curves of the pale blue glass. The bottle is wonderful to look at, but I found it hard to hold and pump at the same time with one hand. I’ve not let this stop me from enjoying the wonderful treasure found within the bottle.
The smell in invigorating. It’s a clean ’’sporty smell’’, very ’’out-door’’. It is feminine without screaming ’’floral bouquet’’ in your face. It’s a great daytime fragrance and a good spring/summer scent. I prefer more spicey oriental scents for winter and evening. I’ve received many complements when I wear Cool Water. I always take that as a good sign when people ask what scent you are wearing and soon you smell that scent on them and others around the office.
The lotion form of this cologne was too strong for my extremely fair complexion. It burnt my hands when I put in on. I do like the idea of having a scented lotion that goes with my cologne of the day. I have decided to mix it with an unscented lotion to dilute the smell. This suits me fine and guess what? This way the scented lotion lasts longer and I get more bang for the buck...even if it was my husband’s buck!
