I wish to bring to your notice the pitiable plight of .Shri Sundraewara Sharma, affectionately addressed as Sundara Vadhyar.
The Vadhyar is going through an agonising period harassed by acute
penury, physical suffering and high medication.He has four daughters all
married and beset with their own problems.However, they do come to the
aid of their parents but this has
basically to be moral as they too are not financially very well off.
The Vadhyar’s wife was treated by Holy Spirit Hospital--where they
have to go for periodical dressing.Each trip costs Rs 75.Daily medicine
intake calls for another Rs 200.Totla monthly expenses about 6, 500/-
There is no bill pending presently.
It is a fact that various organisations in Parle--the Parle Bhakta
Samaj and the Parle Seva Mandal and a number of individuals have helped
the Vadhyar substantially in the past. One doctor friend is giving
free a portion of diabetes medicine.
But the need is continous and without doubt the Vadhyar’s case cries
out for help.There is an imperative need to go beyond the perimeter of
Parle and seek the munificence of the wider circle of sympathisers of
such deserving and needy cases.An
eminently worthy cause is that of Sundara Vadhyar.Visting their small house with only a bathroom with erratic water supply, toilet facilty
common and outside-asbestos ceiling.This is how some parts of Mumbai lives.
I appeal to all members to lend a helping hand and contribute liberally.
Stricken by incipient Alzheimer’s disease the Vadhyar can be free of
financial worry to some extent.
