I was taken on as a faculty and asked to teach a course. Transportation was provided and some other faculty used to come in the van. One man used to talk about political problems and things that happened under the British, Gandhi Nehru etc.
The text books prescribed were not available and even after requests no required texts were made available, one had to use xerox copies scrounged from elsewhere.
The students did not take interest and at the end demanded high marks. The administration also pressurized me to change the marks etc to be sent to the university. My pay was cut.
(I am informed this is a common practice in these colleges, only the people keep quiet for fear of the rogues running these colleges) The HOD demanded that I give everyone distinction, and threatened me with loss of pay. After 3 months I have yet to get pay. I dont know if the students will get distinction, those that do well in the exam may get good marks God Bless Them.
