They are suppose to show ’latest’ sporting events. Of course ’Latest’ has different meaning when it comes to Doordarshan.
They usually show all International Cricket matches played in India. They are even showing the Hockey World Cup (India matches). They showed highlights of winter olympics and usually one couldnt make out what was going on.
Usually they show all old stuff like past olympic games, snooker games even kabaddi tournaments and so on.
Their expertise is in showing games which were usually played in 1980s and so on...
The coverage and sound quality is poor as well.
The reception is usually dull and lifeless.
Compared to ESPN/Star Sports this channel is still in the 80’s era of sports television.
The only thing I like about this channel is that its FREE and shows India’s cricket matches.
I hope they improve soon.
