As Star Plus has chosen to relaunch KBC - 2 in August 2005 to finish its episodes, Sony TV had made a bid on Deal Ya No Deal, a reality game show. Thus from 23rd November, we are going to have a new Game Show on TV, its Deal or No Deal. There is not much information available regarding the show. We have one or two commercials available for the show, which doesn’t give a fair idea about the show. Here I have tried to put all the main information together about the show. ’’Deal Ya No Deal’’ is Indian version of the ’’Deal Or No Deal’’, one of the most popular show in the world. This show is a reality game show where individual’s guts & speed is tested. This is also about his ability in making the right and intelligent choices, where the right choice can lead him to win some great cash prizes. ’’Deal or No Deal’’ has successful track record in 43 countries including Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Middle East, Russia, Thailand, USA etc. It was voted ’Program of the Year 2004’ in Italy. Clarin Award for the Best Entertainment was given to the show in the year 2003.

South superstar R. Madhavan is the host if this Game Show ’’Deal Ya No Deal’’. ’’Miditech’’ is the producer of the show in association with ’’Endemol BV’’. The maximum prize money is Rupees One Crore. Hutch is having an association for this against Air Tel for KBC. So 1st Crorepati of the show is Hutch ; )
The Format of the Game (International) :

There will be 22 players who will share 22 boxes. Without knowing the content in each box, player has to pick one sealed box out of 22 sealed boxes. Only one of them plays each day and once a person has played, a new contestant replaces him in the following show. Each contestant will get a chance to play till the time he get chance to play for his cash box.
Periodically, the player will receive a call from the ’Banker’. The Banker keeps a closed look at the player. He will try to analyse psychology of player. The Banker’s always aims that the contestant earns the lowest money. Based on the amounts of money in the sealed boxes of the the player who are already been eliminated, the Banker makes a cash offer to existing player. And here comes tricky situation... Player will be in dilemma .... Whether to take the offer or play for Jackpot with risk of losing everything !
Now lets see how an Indian version of the show appeals. Hope we see a good reality show again on Sony... :)))
