Right from the very first day when I picked up this magazine, my eyes darting all around to make sure no one notices me, to this day when I read it, admire it and infact keep a few aside(for the articles my man!, I am happily married, thank you!), I have always enjoyed reading the Debonair...
my main supply was at the barber shop when I would purposely go earlier than my appointment time so that I could browse through Debonairs he had over there!
i am not a subscriber, or a person who buys every issue. if I am at a magazine stall, and not embarassed at that point of time, I will pick up a mag.
frankly speaking however, the magazine quality, meaning the paper, the models, the general presentation has been declining.
around a decade ago there were a lot of classic issues, meaning the articles in it and also the models, but nowadays what I ahve seen is, it is indeed rare to see an issue doing more than raising a few eyebrows.
i am not comparing Debonair to Playboy or Penthouse, but I think a little more effort can be put into the making of the magazine.
the articles are still good, not to mention the erotica section and plus the last page of the mag always makes for interesting viewing.
however nowadays with the internet having spread its arms far and wide, there is nothing that can be seen on the mag that you cannot see on the net.
not to say that everything is copied, but still a major percent is.
on the whole, a true Indian por*o book, something that people of probably two generations will know about and have fond memories of.
But nowadays people would rather pick up one of the spicier, better paper quality mags available in the market now.
