Updating this review after nearly 17 years.
Subscribe to the B-S, Mint and DH. I get the ET magazine on Sundays along with the Sunday Hindu.

DH has pulled up its socks since the past 8 years. Quite accurately reflects the citys concerns. Its news reports are unbiased. their opinion and first edit columns are quite insightful.
DH had made changes to its Spectrum supplement(it is now within the main paper rather than a pullout, the content remains the same).
Content coverage regularly includes NYT and other syndicated content. The Business section has undergone a revamp, which has been under review because of COVID. Hopefully the more comprehensive coverage(with an emphasis on Karnataka business news) returns once COVID crisis passes.

2003 review
A few days ago, TOI had a half page ad in its paper that it had a circulation of 3 lakh odd in bangalore. 2 months back, DH came out with a claim that it was the tops in circulation. IMO, DH is wrong.
I used to subscribe to DH about 9-10 years back but then switched over to TOI. I used to spend atleast an hour in the morning reading the paper.
Came back to india a while ago and decided to try DH for a change.
All I can is I was disappointed.
The paper is nothing but a collection of buzz words from Associated Press(AP) and Agence France Press(AFP).
The news gathering ability of DH has gone to the winds.
TOI does a better job because it is a much more national than the DH.
One good section about DH is the Sunday paper. This is the only day you should buy/subscribe DH for. The articles on the Sunday paper are a class apart.
Other than that, I would not recommend it.
