A Scientific thriller action packed

The book is a science fiction, surrounded by high level political conspiracies within the closed circles of US government office.

There is a conflict between incumbent US president and a senator who is close contender in presidential elections. The president is continuously losing popularity for his support to NASA, which has failed to deliver results and has become a major taxpayer expense. The senator is using this opportunity and his anti NASA campaign and has gained a strong popularity for presidential polls. He is trying best to privatize space and is accepting illegal donations from private companies for his campaigns, in return for future favours.

NASA scientists make a discovery of a foreign rock in arctic ocean which appears to be a strong evidence for existence of extra terrestrial life. This discovery is sufficient to give president a strong cause or supporting NASA, improving the image of space agency and giving him an decisive edge over the senator. But on further investigation it was revealed that discovery is a deception. The  rock was an ordinary ocean rock and has been artifically planted, and NASA was being made to take credit to restore its image and credibility of president. The self interest groups try their best to keep this deception a secret, murdering people who come to know about it. A small group of scientists escape and run from the killers to bring this deception to public view.

The author has covered various aspects of science and technology in detail He has used scientific imagination to develop advanced objects for instance hotbots, the artificial flying objects of the size of a mosquito with microscopic audio/video relay to transfer information to the receiver.

The book is quite fast moving and action packed. Though a fiction, it gives a good visibility of kind of politics among some top US government organizations. There is also an element of suspense, where a very senior and respectable person is involved in the plot.
