’’Deewana’’- Sonu’s first superhit album sure had plenty of reasons to be so. It has remained till date my most favourite collection of exquisite songs.
Ab Mujhe Raat Din is a delight to listen to, even so mny years later. It begins on a haunting note and the catchy tunes are heavenly.
Main Hoon Deewana Tera is another instant love kind of track. Sonu flawlessly modulates b’w the extremes of this track. Some great music and nice lyrix to accentuate the beauty. Years later when I heard Rahul Vaidya render this in the piano rounds of II 1, he became my favourite. wink Well, he did a great job too....Sonu sure lends a magical quality here which one can always reminisce.
’’Deewana kiya hai teri yaadon ne’’ also lives up to he high standards Sajid Wajid have set in their music here, so does ’’Is kadar pyar hai’’. Both are eternal tracks you will never forget.
There are one or two duds here, but they seem more so bcoz the earlier tracks are so out of this world.
In all, this is must listen for any music lover. I assure you Sonu’s fan status after hearing this, if u already arent one. Nostalgia, romance and memories are all still stirred whenever I tune on to this. :)
