How do you think every citizen would feel if they knew that the Police, and FBI could see, and solve crimes before they happened with the use of a time machine? Im sure such an accomplishment with the help of modern technology would be a significant breakthrough for our law enforcement agencies and every citizen would be very pleased and at ease right?
Well in this action packed thriller Deja Vu which stars Denzel Washington and Jim Caviezel we see just that; a crime is solved, and lives are saved. Director and writers Tony Scott, Terry Rossio, and Bill Marsilil reveal a cinematic version depicting a scientific breakthrough in solving crimes before they happen.
Denzel Washington provides an excellent performance along Jim Caviezel who provides a very good and chilling role as a terrorist and murderer. Deja Vu offers decent action scenes, and an excellent storyline that will keep the viewer on the edge of their seats with suspense.
After watching this movie at its premier last week I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Deja Vu offers a very good story about time travel and the wonders of modern technology.
Motion pictures as The Time Machine, and The Lake House are an inspiration to the directors, and writers of Déjà Vu they borrow from these movies, when mixing this story with a touch of romance, intrigue, and time travel. Deja Vu also gives the viewer a splendid dose and strange concept of a deja vu experience of visiting a place in a past life that one has known all their life even if theyve never been there before.
In this movie, a terrorist strikes a New Orleans ferry, causing a cataclysmic explosion almost killing all of its passengers, and killing a woman he’s romantically involved with. Denzel Washington portrays a special ATF agent whose job is to investigate this crime, catch the terrorist/murderer and save the life of a woman.
He accomplishes this goal with the help of modern technology. The police department has created a machine that will take this special investigator back in time for a day to see the murder of a young woman and the destruction of a New Orleans ferry by a terrorist/murderer before these events take place.
Final Thoughts
Deja Vu is indeed a good action movie that sci-fi and cop movie fans will find interesting, and enjoyable. As I mentioned earlier Deja Vu offers excellent action scenes, excellent, sound effects, an intriguing suspenseful story, a terrific plot and great a performance by lead actor Denzel Washington. If youre a fan of Police, and science fiction films check out Deja Vu you wont regret it. Its a movie worth seeing.
