Distribution of batches
There is one Pre Foundation batch for the students of the 2nd MBBS, where in they teach Subjects of 1st and 2nd MBBS i.e Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Pathology and Microbiology.
This batch is meant for the 3rd year students (or 6th semester students), here they teach additional subjects of 6th and 7th semester.
This batch is for the final year students wherein they teach all the subjects of the MBBS.
this is the final batch, for the students pursuing Internship. They teach every subject in detail.
My experience prior to joining DAMS
As we were 2nd MBBS students( as it is a 18 monthly year), we were supposed to join a coaching institute, as we are free for a couple of months. As there is more curiosity in Joining such a good coaching class, we finally registered our names in groups (as we had a good chance of asking for good concession if we went in groups of 20).
We joined and then paid some lump-sum amount of Rs 10, 000 in advance to book for some lesser fees. One thing to be noted is that we paid the amount in December.
It was about to start in February. It was actually surprising that they did not notify as the days were coming nearer. We then called them. They did not reply in a better manner as expected(not in the way they behaved while asking us for joining). There was a Whats App group, wherein 3 members were from DAMS itself. Though there many messages from the group members regarding the starting of the coaching, the members of the DAMS did not utter a single reply.
So there are many confusions regarding the allotment of the batches, and the specific schedules of the lectures. We were allotted the Blue batch but then that that does not include our enrollment numbers. Then we asked some respective incharge, he said we will be considered under the Pre foundation batch. We were satisfied with this reply, but when the schedule came, there were no lectures in the name of Pre foundation batch.
There are lots of confusion.I hope these problems get dissolved sooner.
Though DAMS is considered the best of the Competing institutes, I have come up with this issue. If we disregard such issues then DAMS is the choice which every student should make.
