Popularly called D C E
I would like to review as I progressed from being a baccha to somebody
During first semester I was a day scholar and commuted on bus and sometimes on my two-wheeler. The roads looked puzzling once I reached inside the college and then the corridors, the students, the teachers and the crowd at the canteen, the mess and the classes again and the .......
Then after a course of time, ragging reached its diminishing stage. And the interaction with the seniors started in a friendlier manner.
I would say there are more friendly people here than it might just seem to you all you have to do is respect their private space and be careful about your words.
Then in second year I got the hostel.
Hostel my friends, if u have one only then you will understand its importance.
If u r a non delhi student then you get one easily.
If you are a delhi student than to make matters easy you should have a Guardian with a respectable govt post to ease ur conversations with the hostel authority.
what the problem is:
180 students in one hostel
4 hostels dedicated to 2nd, 3rd and 4th year male engineering studs.
ok so 4x180, say mathematically, 720
Total strength of college 2500, 15% OG, say 100 girls (rough figure). Less rooms more students.
Positive side
You get 10% increment of students every years ie u get admission in college
Negative side two: more hostels will be made do not know what capacity and when.
ok
ahm let see sports
table tennis is ok.
cricket so so
football , y is there no body in the ground.
basketball comeon now lets play.
volley ball too crowded.
internet
cyber cafe in campus with restrictions , ok
a few cyber cafes near the main gat and the first bus stop.
u get lot of RTVs also.
Then I reached the third year. By this time I left the college hostel cause I used to love drivimg my 800 to and fro between home and campus. I reached the stage where I was a senior now. most of the batchmates knew me, both by name and face, and I could recognize say around 300 of them. a lot of other immediate seniors and juniors, made my walk through the corridors pleasent. well that is because of the hi/ hellos and some good jokes.
lets talk about some good people in college to with
the security guard,
they are good people trying make a living for themselves, many a times they ask you to identify urself at the main gate for security reasons, sometimes they even check your car for if you are carrying something you should not. then there are guards at principal residence and office, at the girls hostel , at the first year boys hostel, and this total number is doubled at the senior boys hostel. I do not understand why the students can not be a little more polite with them, cause if they would not have been there then the college would be crowded by the locals.
the lab assistants, they are also good people who are trying to cope with thier life. they are the only help in the laboratorys when you want to do the practicals in the right way , they know every inch of thier working area still sometimes a few students make fun of them that is really annoying.
the hostel mess staff, they know that they are in college for
1 making meals for themselves and the students
2 sleeping on the tables where the students will eat
3 taking a quick shower when a student needs to take one
4 using the gym equipment
but u c if you ever need money and u do not have and person around you who can help then then there is one person in the campus who would lend you money and the question he will ask , is WHY. that is it he would not enquire when you will return the money .now that is what I call a heart, someday I will have that much money too. and my dear reader this gentleman is the owner of the canteen mess. he is one good fellow of the college.
u ever need money and do not want anybody to know about it just go and tell him the truth plz do not lie cause he deserves to know the truth. I am telling you he is the real person to talk to.
rest later
cheers
