I bought Dell laptop inspiron 1525 last year. The day I took the delivery and opened the box I read the usermanual and plugged in the laptop. On opening the CD-ROM for the very first type I observed some plastic pieces came out of it but the CD-Rom worked fine with lot of jerking noice.
The touch pad was not proper and cursor gets stucked on the screen and it takes lot of time to move the cursor. Even same problem is observed while scrolling the side bars.
I called up the customer care it replied their working hours are on weekdays 9-5 which exactly matched my office hours. One fine day I was on casual leave I reported my problem to CC it took half an hour to convience him about the problem, the guy then transfered the call to technical person and my GOD it was some Malaysian or taiwani he spoke English in such a difficult to understand accent. After a long discussion of more than 2 hours with him he asked me to download the touchpad driver and install it and call after it. I did the same I called the cc again and narrated the whole story the guy asked my to install the OS and to take data backup as they wont be responsible for any data loss during the OS reinstallation.
I went to market bought a external USB mouse rather than doing all junk and risky things.
The laptop is extremly slow even when I have a 3 gb ram.
Please Please dont buy this junk laptop go for some other brands.
