The Dell Inspiron 15 3542 Notebook is packed with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display and a resolution of 1, 366 x 768 pixels. It is 2.4kg in weight. The lid carries a faded silver finish which gives it a premium feel. The remaining portion of the laptop is black though.i found this laptop very light to use
Performance- The Laptop performs very smoothly while performing simple and some heavy tasks. It runs on Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system. The laptop seems to be good for gaming.The laptop handles demanding videos and games with the inbuilt Intel HD 4400 graphics unit.
Hardware-It has built in WiFi, Bluetooth, DVR RW Drive, Media card, Security slot, two USB2.0 and one USB 3.0. There is 500GB of Hard Disk. It has 4Gigs of DDR3 Ram and has only one Expansion slot. Camera quality is below than the average, especially in low light.
Battery performance if good you can easily use it up to 3.5- 4.5 hours with normal usage.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3542 is a great laptop / notebook from the Inspiron 3000 series. It is great laptop with good connectivity options. It is Solid, rigid and robust. The performance on Windows 8.1 is good. Definitely a must buy for those who dont expect more.
