I ordered on 2nd sep. They didnt send me confirmation even on 9th. after calling then twice during the period and filing two complains they give me an alibi that there were so many vacations in between (There was only ganpati puja) so it took time to confirm order. When order confirms, then they take 7-10 days to deliver. On 16th I again curse them, then they gave the order number.
Now I see that if I had compromised a little and had purchased a toshiba or gateway laptop ( for toshiba I would get lesser graphic and gateway would cost 2000 more) ill be using a laptop since fortnight ago. Dell guys acts so irresponsible that when I enquired about my payment, they asaked me order number, which they didnt provide me. Now ill see how long theyll take to deliver it...
...estimated delivery date is 1st October. Also dell had put on their website that they are facing some type of shortage in Malaysia where they assemble their laptop. If they provide any delay, I might consider cancelling my order because this is ridiculous that placing order on 2 sep causes delivery after one month.
Warning to all new dell buyers that confirm how much time it will take by calling them rather than asking at dell store employee especially which payment mode will be fastest.
On 23 surprisingly I got laptop delivered. I kinda felt good that after going through so much I got laptop on time. Also other surprising fact was that my hard disk got upgraded!
Initial settings are clumsy as keyboard are in multimedia board, but going through a little it works nicely.
