I bought my Dell Inspiron 1520 just over a year ago via Dell’s Outlet Store. It came with GEFORCE’s 8600 256 MB graphics, which is extremely fast. Since I bought it, I have added a total of 4 GB RAM, a Cingular internal modem.
And also even changed out the 5400 rpm hard drive it came with, and put in a brand new 200 GB 7200 rpm drive. I also added a SanDisk card and enabled ReadyBoost on it for extra RAM. This laptop has been an outstanding laptop from the word go.
I took off Vista Home Prem and all of Dell’s crapware, and installed a fresh Vista Ultimate. I am extremely happy with my 1520. It is blazing fast, durable, and always, always connects. I have not had one problem with this gem of a computer.
I only paid about $850.00 for it when I bought it. It was Not a refurbished one, but rather a laptop that someone had built and changed their minds with the purchase. Man I am so glad they did. I own 5 Dell computers, and everyone of them have been awesome. And except for one serious misconception on one of them, on Dell’s part, which they refused to accomodate, their Customer Support Reps have been fantastic. Everyone makes mistakes. Besides, after I went through it, I am very glad that they didn’t accomodate me by fixing their mistake! I got the much better bargain out of it, believe me!!! Thanks for listening!!
