I am really happy to type this review from my two year old Dell Inspiron 1520.
I have not called the Dell Customer Service for any issues, the laptop is performing stunningly well.
I have got the black one with all wi-fi loaded. It is a multipurpose laptop for work & play.
Be Soft in handling the DVD drive, so that you will not have reading DVDs.
The Keypad is very efficient and allows easy handling. The screen is very nicely built to cater the needs of arising eye problems.
The First Year AMC was free for me with TOTAL REPLACEMENT FACILITY.
But the second year when I tried to renew the service with dell, they told the price is Rs.8000+.
So I didn’t renew my service, I have not come across any problems still.
I have always recommended Dell laptops for my friends and colleagues.
Few suggestions would be,
Go for Windows XP(Avoid Vista)
Go for 9 cell Battery.
Go for backpack, it will be convenient for you.
