Its been almost 2 years since I purchased this laptop and I have not had a single hardware issue with it . The laptop may look bulky and with very little style quotient but its whats under the hood that counts !!!!!
The Intel Core 2 Duo 7200 processor and the Nvidia 8600 M GT graphics card deliver the goods and I have been able to play all the high end games available in the market like Crysis at medium setting (I would like to add that this laptop is for those looking for a balance between performance , mobility and price otherwise Dell has better options which I have mentioned below )
The speakers deliver amazingly lound sound and the dell website is awesome for its driver support & its exhaustive knowledge base .
The only hiccup I found was that the keypads werent that comfortable and that Dell doesnt have any warning system in place for Low Battery (like lenovo which a built in bios one ) which can get quite irritating at times .
The Customer support is awesome and even for a minor issue like replacing the keypad they arrived the very next day and that too at the exact time specified ; right down to the minute !!!!!
My recommendation is buy and so is the opinion of my college gang , numbering around ten ; all of whom are Dell customers .
P.s :- My only advice to those looking for pure gaming machines is to buy the XPS range as they are mind blowing in that aspect & the Studio Laptops for ppl who want Style !!!
P.s.s :- A common problem is the loosening of hinges or damage to it towards the 4 th year of usage . The Dell website also does not provide drivers for Windows 7 , but that can be downloaded from the respective OEM websites .
