I have had this laptop for about 2 years now and although I really enjoy using this, I think that there are now much better options out there.
Lets start off with the design. As with most Dell laptops, style has been in mind when they designed these. There are a range of colors to choose from there is bound to be one to suit everyone. I chose midnight blue.
It is an easy laptop to carry around and looks stylish in your arms, ideal for a student I reckon.
They keys are soft and is suitable for quick typers. The touch scroll (no idea what you call it) section is a nice size for most fingers, but it does not have a scroll section built in, which is something that most newer laptops do have. So I tend to attach a usb mouse in when I am fiddling around with a lot of documents. It saves so much time.
The screen tends to attract quite a lot of dust so its best not to leave it open on your desk for more than a day or two. Or if you do decide to do that, at least have some screen wipes next to you.
This laptop also does not have a built in webcam, yet another feature that newer laptops do have.
The battery life is average. If you are planning on playing games on this then you are better off keeping this plugged in. I find that an hour or two of constant internet browsing is enough to drain the battery out.
But if you are after something simple just for student life, this is answer.
