I was attracted to it by the 2TB hard-disk(I always need lots of storage - in fact I can never have enough) and 16GB of RAM(I always have a bunch of programs open). And I have been buying everything from Dell since 1997(laptops since 2000), so I just went ahead without looking into too much detail. I bought one with a core i5 6200u with Intel graphics and 128Gb SSD. It’s a decent enough notebook given all things considered. I agree the screen looks washed out but colors seem OK otherwise. The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 is a capable laptop, offering strong performance for the price, above-average battery life and a well-made chassis with a comfy, soft-touch finish.
Pros / Good battery life; Strong performance; Comfy soft-touch deck; Plenty of storage
Cons / Bland, low-res display; Shallow keyboard
Verdict / Dells Inspiron 15 5000 is a strong performer with a solid and comfy soft-touch design, but its display doesnt wow.
