I purchased a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop in Feb 06. And I am glad I did that. Dell Inspiron 6000 is one of the best laptop. I did an evaluation of all laptops, seen most of the laptops avaialble. However, none except Dell provided customisation of components required. At the most, some of them would provide memory (RAM) upgrade. But Dell provided customisation options on ALL the components (Memory, Hard Disk, Connectivity, Blue tooth, DVD write Dual layer, even the Display resolution, and Additional Waranty). This was what I liked most.
The design and layout multimedia keys are also very well designed and the Color (silver and white) is very pleasing. And do NOT miss out the discount Dell offers, you have to just ask for it. And after a telephone call to sales and an approval, you could get a 10% discount on the upgardes as well. Thanks Dell.
