Dell Latitude laptops fall in business segment, but knowing this fact I intentionally bought this laptop for my personal use. Its a great laptop with amazing battery life & great speed.
I bought mine with Windows XP & I am totally in love with it. I purchased it with 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD webcam, DVD writer and finger print reader.
Only after buying the laptop I came to know what is the actual meaning of business segment laptop. Its a very sturdy laptop & personally I am very careless with the products which I buy; but I am pretty sure about this laptop that nothing will happen to it.
Screen is much better than many other laptops in the same class. I happened to compare mine against a Lenovo ThinkPad T400 & Dell is a clear winner. Better & clear screen, much better keyboard & build quality is very rugged.
Well placed USB ports & touch-pad is much above a normal home sement laptop. Even after using it heavily for around 9 months now, there are virtually no signs of wear & tear.
I think the screen is also scratch resistant because I happened to accidentally rub my bike key on one side of the screen but there was no scratch.
Weight is very reasonable as compared to Inspirons & it doesnt get hot. Charges very fast & discharge is very slow, real nice battery life. The only con is its high price but paying that proce would ensure peice of mind for years to come.
