Their are a couple reasons why I got such I big monitor. Number one, to play games at very high resolutions and to enjoy wonders of the highest quality hd videos. I use it to dual screen as I am studying engineering so I can have written work on my normal screen and be so computer-aided design on the Dell. This set up I use as an extended desktop and the dells compatibility allows me to have one resolution on one screen and different resolution on another screen. I have no fault with this screen. The quality cannot be knocked. Also the screen has a few pre-sets for gaming or browsing photos or watching movies, etc. One of the few problems is that because it is a bigger screen it takes up a lot more room and more surface area to clean. Seems to attract dust but this is me just trying to find something wrong because of course a big monitor is going to take up more room, no such thing as a 20" monitor that only takes up 17"!!
The screen goes up to a high enough resolution for me and if your serious about your gaming then you may want I slightly higher resolution but if you are serious and moneys an issue, then this one is brilliant. has a fairly good response time, barely noticeable to be honest but people just try and look for things to put it down by looking at its spec. Everything else on this monitor is very good, I would definitely advice this monitor if your considering one like it.
