Received this machine last week.Bot it for 50k

As far as the look is concerned its cool. Curves are smooth and nicely inherited from XPS series. Slot load seems gr8 and it has drastically reduced the thickness of the notebook. Backlit keyboard is awesome utility to work in dark rooms and its back lights can also be turned off or adjusted accordingly so u can adjust it according to environment. Screen resolution that I have ordered is 1366X768. Screen is much wider as compared to inspiron series, which give this laptop more of a compact look when lid is opened. Display is crisp and bright and no issues with the color reproduction and contrast ratio. All the slots are on the sides, nothing in front or back. Build Quality could have been better. My system has a 9 cell battery which already has started shaking lose from the socket, so its advisable for rough users, not to buy a 9 cell battery.
Performance :
Under this section it can beat any machine within same price rage. New I series of processors form intel can increase their clock cycles whenever needed to give huge performance boost to the system. Windows 7 runs very smooth with 4 Gb of DDR3 Memory. Dedicated Graphics are awesome. I have tested nfs most wanted on it and it was running smoothly with all options set to its fullest. I hve tried few more games on it... Call of duty modern Warfare I and II Running fine on full configuration with no issues...except a bit of sluggish response in heavy firing areas but that also gone when anti aliasing was set to 2x instead of 4x.
Dell’s systems recovery facility have undergone many improvements which includes preserving your documents, picture, videos and all main folders. A fully charged 9 cell battery can easily give a backup of 4Hrs(Avg) with normal usage.
Verdict:
I am very happy and satisfied with my purchase. system has not shown any signs of problems in its first week except that little bit loosening of battery. Its the best you can get in India around 50k if performance is concerned.
