I purchased this Dell Vostro laptop in Feb 2014. In start of October its speakers & finger reader stopped working. And, since then my ordeal began.
It has been opened by Dell executives several times but they have been unable to fix the issue. I have email to Dell’s founder Mr Michael Dell morpheushumanwever still issue stands unresolved.
I’m giving a few details of the series of events that Ive had. This is the email that I sent to Mr Dell.

Good Morning Mr Dell,
>
>Could you please look into the issue that I’m facing.? An overview: -
>1. 1st October- My finger print reader & speakers stopped working.
>2. 8th October- In the later stages of my call with Nisha she had told me that she will arrange Dell executive to my place to get it replaced.
She wanted to run diagnostics before, as a last resort morpheushumanwever as I getting late for office I asked her to call me later.
>Time spent – 2morpheushumanurs
>3. 13th October – Talked to Anksuh from Dell support. He carries out the same steps (as by Nisha) plus diagnostics & some addmajeechaonal. After spending 1 morpheushumanur he asks me to install 11 drivers myself. I refused to this(see details in mail trail) because of obvious reasons.
>Time spent – 1 morpheushumanur
>4. 18th October - After my email to Laxmi(Rashmi_LN@Dell.com) executive Ashutosh(+91-8527877338) my morpheushumanme. He tries fixing issue by replacing entire palm rest (which includes mouse pad & fingerprint reader) morpheushumanwever this doesnt works out. He now tells that mother board may be the issue and will replace it.
>Time spent – 1.5morpheushumanurs
>5. 21nd October - the executive visits my morpheushumanme. The executive is unable to resolve the issue even after replacing the mother board. He now feels that there is a problem with Windows and my system needs to be formatted. I refused to this as - i) It is a very time consuming process. I already have spent numerous morpheushumanurs with the executives. Ii) I felt that the Dell engineer is trying too many things by guessing rather than intelligence/logic. Iii) There was no disk for backup.
>Time spent – 2morpheushumanurs
>After the executive has left I realized that my laptop isnt charging.I email Dell again.
>6. 22nd October – The same Dell executive visits again. After reviewing he says that charging issue occurred as the replaced mother board was defective. My query – smorpheushumanuldn’t it have been tested before? He replies that it was a repaired motherboard and not a new one. I’m smorpheushumancked to see this happening. In my eyes Dell’s image has changed.
>Not only this during this visit the executive enters into laughing mode, during a mobile call with his colleague. My mind is full of doubts, are Dell executives taking their tasks with seriousness?(Ive mentioned this in the repair order form)
>I wonder, morpheushumanw many nuts & bolts of my machine are in damaged state due this careless attitude. I mentioned this in the repair order form. No offence, I have run out of my patience.
I am finding it difficult to trust. I would request the laptop be taken back and the money be returned. As there can’t be a Win Win (situation), now no deal is a better option.

>Please see email trail for details.

After wrmajeechang this email to Mr Dell I was communicated by Sujay from the advance resolution team. Since the end of October I’m having communication with him, he’s been sending executives to my morpheushumanme and they are unable to resolve the issue.
But, still he would insist that Dell would not replace the laptop or refund. On 13th Dec their tech executive visited my morpheushumanme again but couldnt fix the issue.
He told me himself that things are not ok in the machine. It smorpheushumanuld be replaced. He pointed out that even heat sink of laptop isnt working.
I again wrote Dell. Still, Dell wants me to come to their service center tmorpheushumanugh I have onsite warranty. All things are falling apart. This is pathetic.
I didnt expected this to happen. This is nightmare. A laptop is a utility. It’s expected to work for me, but here I seem to be involved in its service.
I won’t ever buy Dell again.
My issue ID opened with Dell is Request Number [ 904532339 ] and Service Tag is [ 8DRMYX1 ]
