Calcutta is the cultural capital of india.And the mirror of this City is Des patrika.Des is a weekly magazine which is 70 years old and one of the largest selling magazine between the intellectuals of west bengal or Tripura or among the bengaleese.
Des Patrika I first started to read when I was in class XI. I am telling you that at first I hate this magazine. So many political discussions, so many reviews that was just boring for a young person.But after a year while the body of this magazine turned to change I also fell in love with it.

iii)Two renowned authors in bengali literature are writing their novels in this magazine.Sirshendu Mukherjee and Nabakumar Basu are two authors.
iv)Des magazine allows new authors to reveal themselve. In this magazine the short stories are really very testy.
v)The biggest thing of DES Magazine is Book Review.The Bengali literature is very rich.And the book review section of this magazine makes it richer.
