I had a deeply frustrating experience with Design Cafe. Despite giving detailed requirements at the time of signing, their designer failed to incorporate key elements into the initial quote. We were assured by both the sales and design teams that the final quote would not vary by more than 5%, yet after removals, the revised quote shot up by over 50%.
Whats worse, the designer didnt account for basic feasibilityhinged wardrobes were proposed in bedrooms where they clearly wouldnt fit. This should have been identified early on. It also came to light that no meaningful design work was done for the first two months(May and June), which the new designer confirmed after joining in July.
The quoting system was opaque, with vague references like Wallshutter1, 2 that made it impossible to understand what was included. This lack of clarity and accountability has eroded my trust in the brand. I expected professionalism and transparency, but unfortunately, that was not delivered.
I hope Design Cafe takes this feedback seriously and improves its internal coordination and customer communication.
They are not ready to refund money even though informed to cut the design price and refund the rest of the money.
