I patiently endured the entire movie, only to realize it was a colossal waste of time. The film lacks a coherent story and feels more like an unclear, poorly made documentary than a feature film.
The narrative centred on Joy Bag, a Mumbai-based journalist, is dull, unfocused, and riddled with confusion. Joy is portrayed as a below-average middle-aged man inexplicably adored by his wife, girlfriend, and another lover. His work oscillates aimlessly between cases, culminating in a random and senseless death. The characters are poorly developed, with no clear connections or purpose, leaving the audience lost and frustrated.
To make matters worse, Joy’s sudden trip to London feels absurdly casual, and the forced inclusion of excessive, awkwardly executed intimate scenes adds no value. Most irritating is a nude scene of Manoj Bajpai looking intolerable.
The acting is equally disappointing. Manoj Bajpai seems miscast, while Shahana Goswami, Rituparna Sen, and others fail to bring depth to their roles. The visuals are drab, showcasing shabby locales and poorly presented settings. Dialogues are frequently inaudible and switch haphazardly between Hindi to English to Marathi, further alienating the audience. Without make-up actors look below average to ugly throughout the movie.
Overall, the film fails on every front—story, performances, direction, and production. An absolute disaster. Rating: 0/100.
