Being very critical of movies or books comes naturally to me. If they have nothing to say that is thought proving or genuinely profound or honest; I tend not to take the time. For those who feel that Devdas was long winded and the same old, same old love story... need to take a second look at their humanity. Either they have none or will not admit it and see it as a sign of weakness. There is such profound love and admiration in us mere humans. Although society and the lack of morals in this world, has reduced many of us to mere hollowed hearts. Devdas was true to his devotion of love forever, although leading the destructive way out, he could not help but take her with him in figuritive way. She will always be bond to that memory and the pride that ruined even the life she lives in with another man. Why go on... a thought that has crossed millions of people who have carried the legacy of Devdas in real life. Why go on without the other? I guess he never would find out what the possiblities could have been, had life and God had offered him a second chance. People missed the point of Devdas... and the lesson to be learned by such a love and love recieved. We must learn to look beyond the negative and believe that we as human can love like him and be happy.
